איזה תענוג!! איזה איכות של צילום, איכות מטורפת של סאונד, כרגיל ההשקעה בפרטים הקטנים מהתפריטים של ה-DVD ועש לפתיחה של המופע עצמו.
ראיתי עד עכשיו רק את הדיסק הראשון מתוך שלושה, אני מאמין שהשניים האחרים לא יאכזבו.

Rush Documentary

Directors Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of Banger Films Inc. - and their historical films Metal: A Headbanger's Journey and Global Metal - are gearing up for the upcoming release of Rush - The Documentary. According to a new press release, "the film will be the first to reveal the inner workings of one of the world's most enduring rock bands and will engage both die-hard Rush fans and general music lovers. The documentary examines the history of Canada's best-known rock band. It delivers the first in-depth portait of Geddy Lee (bass/vocals). Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums) tracing their heir musical evolution and personal struggles from when they first picked up their instruments, through their early tourws with Kiss and Aerosmith all the way to their Billboard char topping Snakes and Arrows album and tour." The film features interviews with members of Metallica, Tool, Kiss and The Foo Fighters.

News: RUSH to Release ‘Best Of’ Compilation Covering the Atlantic Records Years

Atlantic Records will be releasing Retrospective 3 from Rush on January 27th, 2009. This Upcoming ‘best of’ installment from the band will cover the band’s tenure with Atlantic Records. The band signed with the label in 1989, releasing Presto after a longtime relationship with Mercury/Polygram.

הורדתי את הDVD הזה ממש לא מזמן וחרשתי את
הקטע הזה.
הDVD עצמו ממש טוב, והסט ליסט מצויין.

[Rush Might Return in 2010]

The one thing that every Rush fan has been wondering about since the band's 2008 tour came to a close last year is when the band will get to work on a new album. In his recent Prog interview Alex Lifeson addressed this topic:

... "Tentatively, we start work on the next album in the fall - I did mention it to Ged before he went away on holiday and he sort of looked the other way. Come September and we'll certainly have some plans, we did the last record, or we started on the last album in the fall and I'd like to do that again, start recording maybe. I don't know who might produce, that's some ways off yet." ...

While this bit of news got a lot of us excited, our excitement was tempered by Lerxst's use of the word tentatively along with the recent birth of Neil Peart's new baby. But Alex addressed the topic yet again and in more detail - including the baby issue - in a recent interview with NoiseCreep.com:

Rush fans take note -- the legendary progressive rock band could be back on the road with a new album in 2010. The trio would love to work again with Nick Raskulinecz, who co-produced the last studio album, 'Snakes & Arrows,' but he'll have to hang on a bit longer.

"I think Nick calls the office once a week," laughs guitarist Alex Lifeson, "just to make sure we're still planning on getting back to work at some point."

Lifeson, lead singer-bassist Geddy Lee and drummer/lyricist Neil Peart played 120 shows behind 'Snakes & Arrows' and "were pretty beat by the end of it," says Lifeson. "We'd been working constantly for the last eight years or so, and really needed a break, and decided to take a year off. We're sort of coming to the end of that period.

"Neil and his wife had a baby just a couple of weeks ago, so he's asked if we can just wait a little bit until he gets settled and see how he feels about getting back to work or when to get back to work. So we're sort of playing it open right now."

Lifeson says he's been doing a little writing at home in Toronto, "just getting myself back into the groove again with recording and stuff like that. I would guess that sometime in the early fall we would get back together and start writing again, and then hopefully by next summer, we'd be ready to tour."

לצערי אני אהיה חייב להיות מאוד מאוד פסימי בעניין הזה. הרי RUSH נותנים הופעה אדירה עם סאונד והפקה ענקית! אין מפיק אחד בארץ שחושב שזה שווה השקעה מתוך העובדה הדי מביכה שאין הרבה קהל ללהקה בארץ. הם יביאו להופעה אולי 5000 איש, וזה לא מספיק כדי לכסות את העלויות של הפקה כל כך מורכבת.
סעו לחו"ל ותראו אותם לפני שהם נעלמים (למרות שזה עושה רושם שהם אלמותיים.

מסכים עם בריל, אין מה להתאמץ ולקוות ש-RUSH יבואו לארץ כי הם לא. שמח שגם לי היה את העונג (כמו לבריל) לראות את הלהקה בחו"ל , בסבב של ה-30 שנה שלהם , הופעה נהדרת של 3 שעות , ונראה שהחבר'ה האלה לא נגמרים

שאם לא יגיעו בסביבות ה-50 אלף זה לא ישתלם להפקה?

RUSH היא להקה מאוד לא מוערכת בארץ לצערי הרב, בעיקר אצל הדור הצעיר שגדל כאן. הרי בהופעה של דרים ראינו המווון ילדים צעירים, ובהופעה של RUSH הם לא ממש ימהרו להגיע. לכן אני ממש פסימי לגבי כמות הקהל (ובד"כ פגעתי טוב בהערכות שלי) הלוואי ואתבדה ויבוא מפיק שירים את ההפקה שלהם.

וואו !! עשה לי צמרמורת! זה כמו לראות את הופעת האיחוד של כוורת חחח פשוט לראות אגדה על הבמה שקשה לעכל כמה היא עברה.
לפי מה שבנתי דרים קראו לעצמם מג'סטי בגלל "בסטיל דיי" של RUSH ... אני צודק?...

לפני חמש שנים אח הגדול שלי הראה לי את הסולו וניל עשה לי כל כך מוזה ומוטיבציה... בזכות הסולו הזה אני מתופף היום.
