יום רביעי, 16 בנובמבר 201625 שנים עברו מאז יציאת האלבום שהכניס את דרים ת׳יאטר לתודעת ההמונים אוהבי הפרוגרסיב, Images & Words.
אתמול, הלהקה הכריזה על סבב ההופעות הבא שלהם לשנת 2017 במעמד אותו אלבום במלואו ובנוסף שירים אהובים נוספים.

NOVEMBER 15, 2016 – Roadrunner Records’ group Dream Theater has announced details of a monumental European headline tour. The trek, which gets underway January 30th at Rome, Italy’s Auditorium Parco Della Musica, will see the pioneering group celebrating the 25th anniversary of their milestone RIAA gold-certified album, “Images & Words.” Each performance will see the iconic progressive rock band delivering an unparalleled live set of “Images & Words” in its entirety along with fan favorites from their renowned catalogue. מידע על ה-DVD הבא
יום שני, 2 ביולי 2012כמעט כבדרך אגב, ג'יימס לאברי חשף מספר פרטים חדשים אודות ה-DVD שיצולם בקרוב.
כשנשאל על גורלם של הבוטלגים ה"אבודים" שאסף פורטנוי, סיפר לאברי שלמרות שהוא עוסק בנושא ניהול ארכיון הוידאו והאודיו של הלהקה, כרגע הדגש הוא על ה-DVD שיצולם בבואנוס-איירס ב-19 וב-20 באוגוסט.

Dream Theater חוזרת לאירופה
יום שלישי, 24 בינואר 2012לאחר הפסקה של כחודש וחצי, הלהקה חזרה אמש להופיע בהלסינקי, פינלנד – הופעה אשר פתחה את סיבוב ההופעות הראשון שלה לשנת 2012.
רשימת השירים מההופעה אמש אמנם לא חידשה הרבה, אך שיר אחד כן שבר את הקרח (תרתי משמע); The Root of all Evil, השיר הראשון שנכתב על ידי פורטנוי ונוגן על-ידי הלהקה בלעדיו.
