חשבתי בהתחלה שזה אלבום שלם שלהם, מסתבר שהם רק עושים את הקאבר ל-Sometimes (שהוא השיר האהוב עלי של הלהקה, אז עדיין זה נחמד) :פ

זה כבר שנים בתכנון וזה נראה כאילו זה בחיים לא יצא, אבל אני רואה שכבר מתחילים לדבר על זה שזה יצא בקרוב... קצת מוזר לי שהם אמרו שהאלבום יוצא השנה, לשנה נשארו פחות מחודשיים ולהוציא אלבום כל כך מאוחר לתוך השנה זה לא חכם שיווקית לדעתי, אבל היי, the sooner the beter.

במרץ Alcest נכנסים (מסתבר שעכשיו חוץ מ-Neige יש עוד חבר) לאולפן להקליט את האלבום הבא שלהם. חלק מההודעה בפייסבוק:

Winterhalter and Neige will start preparing soon (well.. after some days of holidays!) the new album's recording session in March. We just can't wait to be in studio and will for sure keep you posted about that in the coming weeks.

מפתיע שיצא אלבום השנה וכבר בשנה הקרובה יצא עוד אחד - אני מאוד מקווה שהוא יהיה יותר טוב מהאחרון שהיה פושר ולא קרוב לרמה של השניים הראשונים.

אתה צודק בהחלט , האלבום האחרון היה חלבי לעומת הראשון . מקווה שיביאו איתם משהו שייטה יותר לבלאק ולא לפסקול של twilight. תכל'ס מזמן לא שמעתי אטמוספריק בלאק טוב כמו Wolves . אם למישהו יש המלצות - זה המקום .

On 2 November 2012, Georg Hólm confirmed that the band had already started work on a new album, due to be released some time in 2013. He described it as a dramatic change of direction, "an anti-Valtari".[37] The band performed a new song, entitled "Brennisteinn" ('brimstone'), in Reykjavik on 4 November at the Iceland Airwaves 2012 festival, to favourable reception.[38] On 12 November 2012, the band announced a new North American tour, to take place in March and April 2013. The band also announced that every ticket purchased will include a new digital copy of a three-track EP, containing new and unreleased music, made available to ticket holders on 22 March 2013.

All our albums get created in a very natural way. Valtari was a strange one because it was material from many different sessions. The stuff we are working on now is very different again...more aggressive.
