טוב, הייתי בהופעה, ואכתוב הערב או מחר מתישהו סקירה קצרצרה. בגדול לא התלהבתי ממש מהסטליסט , כי היו כמה שירים שהם עשו בהופעת הכריסמס הקודמת שלהם שיצא לי לראות ב-2006, וציפיתי לראות קצת גיוון והסט ב-2006 היה לטעמי טוב יותר. היו גם לא מעט פישולים בהופעה (אפרט בסקירה).

לא מעט חדשות ב- IQ:
הקלידן מרק ווסטוורת' יעזוב בסוף השנה את הלהקה אחרי הופעת הכריסמס המסורתית ב-11 בדצמבר בלונדון

“It all stops here! Well, it's been an honour to have become a small part of the history of IQ, however I've made a decision to follow my head rather than my heart and will be leaving the band at the end of the year. Having to juggle family life, a full time job and finding time to play all this prog nonsense has been more than a handful of late. Anyway, I shall leave with some great memories and will definitely miss the camaraderie and frequent lunacy of the band and crew, and the loyal fans. Creating music will always be my passion, so hopefully I'll find an outlet to release something in the not-too-distant future. All the best, Mark x”

יוצא DVD חדש להופעה שנערכה השנה בהולנד

GEP is to release a double disc live set of The Wake show.

The CD contains the complete Wake suite which was recorded at the Boerderij, Holland, earlier this year. The DVD features the performance of IQ's classic album as well as the encores ‘Infernal Chorus’, ‘The Darkest Hour’ and ‘Failsafe' along with a Photo gallery featuring a 2010 remix of ‘Corners’

Priced at £12/€14, GEP have kept the price of this unique document as low as possible.

The two disc set, featuring artwork designed to be the perfect addition to the ‘25th Anniversary deluxe box set’, will be available for the first time at IQ's return trip to Berlin on 22nd October (details on this page) and at the following two shows at the Rind in Rüsselsheim and the Camelot Club in Milan. Naturally, for those who can't make it to the shows, the double disc set will be available via the GEP and IQ stores with sales beginning after the shows

הסייד פרוג'קט, The Lens, מוציא אלבום חדש

The Lens release their new album 'Regeneration' on 26 October 2010. Written and produced by Michael Holmes, Regeneration contains all new material.

While most of the instrumentation is down to Mike, Regeneration also features our very own Paul Cook on drums and percussion, original Lens drummer Niall Hayden on er, drums, and Sax maestro Tony Wright (featured on the IQ albums Subterranea and The Seventh House).

ג'ון ג'ואיט הבסיסט הנהדר החליט לעזוב את IQ:

I'm very sad to say that although playing with iQ has been a dream come true, after 19 years with the band I love, Saturday night at the O2 was my last show with iQ, and I'm leaving the band. I've had a great time, met lots of wonderful people, travelled the world, but it's time to move on.



I'd like to confirm that this is my decision, and also that it has no relationship to me playing with any other band.



I'd like to wish all the best to iQ, for what I'm sure will continue to be a great future; I'd like to thank the crew and past band members for all their help, camaraderie and hard work, and most of all, I'd like to thank everyone who's come along to the shows over the years and supported us.

ההבדל היחיד הוא שג'ואיט לא מיליונר כמו פורטנוי ואם הוא עוזב אז זה בטח לא בגלל כסף כי לכל חברי iQ יש עבודות רגילות שהם מתפרנסים מהם, מהמוסיקה שלהם הם בעיקר נהנים וכמובן שמענגים אותנו המאזינים.

Many of you will know Neil from his work with Sphere3 and from the fact that he ran the very first internet mailing list for IQ, 'It All Posts Here' in the early 90's before the world wide web became popular and the IQ website started.
"I'm delighted and excited to become a part of IQ, and hope I can fill the big boots left by my predecessors. Here's to a great new year for IQ and many more to follow!"

DVD חדש בדרך ל- Pendragon הבריטית

As previously announced Metal Mind Productions will release a brand new DVD by the legendary British band Pendragon. Live DVD entitled „Out Of Order Comes Chaos” will be available in March 2012. It contains a show recorded in Katowice during the Polish leg of the tour promoting the band’s most recent album “Passion”. For the first time in their career, live material will be released also on a Blu-Ray.

Nick Barrett: "We've tried to do material that we haven't played very much before, particularly in Poland, and for the DVD we've changed the set drastically so that people don't buy the new DVD and it's just got the same songs as the last one.”
